where’s Wally (or rather Chiko)

Cape Hauy, Tasmania. At the end of our hike (if you can call thousands of stairs a hike) we met a few climbers on the Candlestick. I expected this area to be much busier than it was. No one on the trail and just one party on one of the climbs there.

The Candlestick is a free standing dolerite column, surrounded by cold and shark infested ocean. It is over 100m tall! On the photo it blends with the surrounding cliffs giving and impression of a solid wall of rock. If you look closely you can spot tiny humans in this sea of dolerite.
